In order to avoid others tracing the information contained in the cache memory of the computer you have used, there are different steps to follow.

The cache memory is used to store the most often used data so that access time may be improved. However, this can leave traces of the sites you've visited. If you uses a computer that others also use, it recommended using the following steps listed below.


How to empty the cache memory and the history:


Netscape navigator

1. Click Edit and select Preferences.

2. Click Advenced/Cache: Click the Clear Memory Cache button.

3. Choose YES to delete files.

4. Click on Empty the cache disk.

5. Select the button YES to delete all files.

6. Click on the + of Navigator/Choose History; click on Clear History.

7. Select the button YES to delete the list of pages consulted.

8. Click OK to close.

Internet Explorer

  • 4.0 and others:

1. Click View and select Internet Options.

2. Click the General tab and Temporary files: click Delete files .

3. Choose YES to delete all files.

4. Click on Clear History.

5. Select YES to erase history.

6. Click OK to close.
