Children
At
one time or another in their lives, children have to
face different forms of violence coming from an adult
or their peers.
Sexual
assault is an abuse of power which can leave sequels
harmful to the development and well-being of children.
The sequels left by the violence can vary from one child
to another. Some experience interpersonal problems,
difficulties with authority, difficulties with their
sexuality, drug problems and even suicide.
If
you are a victim or if you believe a child of your entourage
is being sexually assaulted, you must inform the parents
and/or the Youth Protection Department.
Among
the documentation you will find some brief writings
by Health and Welfare Canada and done by Family Services
of Greater Vancouver.

more information, see our Documentation section.
