The organization’s workers answer the phone during office hours (8:30 am to 4:30 pm). Outside of these hours, you can contact the provincial crisis line 1-888-933-9007. A worker is available 24 hours a day and 7 days a week to accompany any girl or woman who wishes to receive help and support over the phone.
If you’ve been sexually assaulted, don’t hesitate to call us at 418-589-1714. If the sexual assault is recent (5 days or less), go to your hospital’s emergency center to be checked for physical consequences, STBIs, etc. If ever you wish to file a complaint now or in the future, you can voluntarily pass the Forensic kit exam so that you have as much evidence as possible if you decide to file a complaint later. A nurse and / or a social worker will take the necessary steps to answer any questions.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE ASSAULT TAKEN PLACE 5 DAYS OR LESS AGO:
By going to the emergency center, you will:
Receive the necessary care;
Be informed about the help you could benefit from
Take exams that could be important if you decide to go to court.
Check if physically, everything is correct (STBBI screening test)
AN INTERVENOR FROM CALACS LUMIÈRE BORÉALE CAN ACCOMPANY YOU.
You can call us and receive a welcome appointment within 24 to 48 hours of the request.
Many thanks to artists Connie F. Stone, Denis Beausoleil, Joseph Simard, Michel Bélanger, Jean-Charles Tremblay and Sébastien St-Jean. By donating a part of themselves, they allowed us to go further in our mission and thus, provide you with a welcoming space.
